Stable interaction-induced Anderson-like localization embedded in standing waves

Abstract We uncover the interaction-induced \emph{stable self-localization} of few bosons in finite-size disorder-free superlattices. In these nonthermalized multi-particle states, one particles forms a superposition multiple standing waves, so that it provides quasi-random potential to localize other particles. derive effective Hamiltonians for self-localized states and find their energy level spacings obeying Poisson statistics. The spatial distribution localized decays exponentially, which is refered Anderson-like localization. Surprisingly, we correlated self-localization can be solely induced by interaction well-studied Bose-Hubbard models, has been overlooked long time. propose dynamical scheme detect self-localization, where long-time quantum walks single particle form waves trapping subsequently loaded Our work an experimentally feasible way realize stable localization translation-invariant few-body systems.
